Doug O'Connor is the owner of Massage Carlsbad at Carlsbad Natural Health Center. Doug is a Sports Massage Therapist with nineteen years of experience. As an ex-triathlete originally trained in Hawaii in sports and injury massage, Doug has worked with sports teams on injury prevention and recovery, and with individuals on pain relief, optimum performance, and lowering personal best times. The techniques that make up "Sports Massage" are effective with all types of injuries, including back and neck pain, chronic pain, and loss of Range of Motion. He is full body certified in ART (Active Release Technique), does Myofascial Release work, Neuromuscular Therapy, and assisted stretching. He is also a local instructor and an active member of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and the Carlsbad Village Business Association.
Gina Connolly, Licensed Massage Therapist, has been working professionally doing Massage and Bodywork since 2002. She continues to expand her knowledge base by continuously taking classes. Gina's love for bodywork began many years ago, and has grown into a passion and a profession that Gina is very proud of. She offers several modalities - Structural Bodywork, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Thai and of course a very relaxing Swedish massage.
Noel Diop, Licensed Massage Therapist, has been in the Holistic Health field doing massage since 1999. As far back as she can remember, Noel had “knowing hands” and a love of massage for her family. From 1999-2001 she studied Holistic Bodywork at Body Mind College. She then went on to work very closely providing relief for people in acute or chronic pain. She has a passion for working with neck and back injuries and her experience makes a difference. Her intention is to facilitate the process of coming into balance. Noel aims to identify the imbalance, identify the cause and work on many levels to heal. She uses postural and movement education, stretching, emotional release through bodywork, intuition in finding energy blockages, breath work, Swedish relaxation and circulatory massage, and deep tissue massage. She is also practices Yoga and is an African Dance instructor.
Joanna Knight has been working in the healing arts field as a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2002. Her journey into Massage Therapy began with a curiosity for natural healing methods. She attended workshops and seminars where she met people whose health conditions were greatly improved through alternative medicine. Joanna believes in the body's innate healing abilities. As a massage therapist, she assists the healing process by providing relief from pain and injury. She understands that a good therapist uses a combination fo technical knowledge and intuition, while striving to treat individual needs. Her experience working in pain clinics, chiropractic offices, and a wellness center have developed her skills to treat a wide range of physical traumas. Her specialties include deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Reflexology, and prenatal massage. Aside from her massage work, Joanna also enjoys writing, fine arts, and has been a violinist for several years.

This is a hidden gem in the Carlsbad Village- the studio is small and cozy and the massage always ranks a 10! I've been going to Gina for over a year now. Not only is she very skilled, but very easy-going and has become a great friend.
